For summer essentials and weekend getaways, I know I can count on Marshalls for my go-to items. Whether I'm headed to the lake, city, or beach - I always want to be chic, carefree and of course, comfortable in whatever weather I'll be experiencing and Marshalls never lets me down.
For the looks I put together, I wanted to go with white dresses since they just scream summer to me. The 1st look could easily be transitioned from a daytime shopping outfit, to an outfit for an evening out. I belted the dress and layered on a Rag & Bone vest to complete the look- I just loved the mix of feminine crochet and distressed denim. The next outfit was perfect for spending at the lake with Uriah and Nick. I'm crazy about the lightweight, flowy maxi and when paired with a simple sweater and studded sandals- you really can't go wrong!

Below is a shot of my packed weekend bag.
I'm sharing a few of my summer essentials (all can be purchased at Marshalls!)

Denim chambray--These are perfect for throwing on over practically anything! I love the wash and fit        of this one. Plus, it's super soft!
Tan Gladiators-- I tend to gravitate towards tan sandals, because I think they make my legs look longer since they blend with my skin tone. And they're even better because the gold studs are just to die for.
Colorful Bikini-- This Vix bikini is the best of both worlds. Why? Because it's reversible! I'm crazy about the colorful mosaic pattern just as much as the simple brown color.
Sunglasses-- it's sunny…duh!
Lighter Leather Bag-- I usually wear lighter clothes and black or dark leather bags are just too much during the summer, so I opt for lighter ones like this beautiful cognac bag. I can just throw all my essentials inside and I'm set for a long day out.
Some of the extras I have are yummy snacks for poolside lounging, a bright neon wallet because it's just so cute, and a summery scented lotion to freshen up after a hot day.
What are some of your favorite summer essentials?

I hope you enjoyed my post and thank you Marshalls for sponsoring it!

Skirt - Thrifted ($4.99)
Blouse - Thrifted
Jacket - Plato's Closet
Heels - Target

I purchased this skirt last year and didn't have a chance to wear it before I got pregnant. Every outfit I put together with it was too girly and young for me. I think the fuller skirt screams girly, so I added a leather jacket to toughen it up a bit. I also wanted a higher neckline for this outfit, so I actually have my shirt on backwards, which made for a pretty low-back top.

Finally, I'm announcing my winner for the ItWorks giveaway-I wish everyone could win!
Thank you all for entering and thank you, Ali!

#AerieReal

Zara Blouse - Platos Closet ($11)
Shorts - Forever 21
Schutz Heels - ℅ Marshalls
Rebecca Minkoff Bag - Ebay

Now that I'm breastfeeding, I am more concerned with bras than I ever have been. Main reason- there are literally no cute nursing bras in existence. At least, in my price point. I usually just stick to bralettes instead if the typical bra. Another dilemma is that going out bra shopping is probably my last idea for an afternoon outing. I would much rather get coffees and relax; bringing Uriah to the mall kinda sounds like a nightmare.Usually I just opt to make mall purchases online. The problem is, purchasing underwear, especially bras, online seldom works out for me. They never fit when they arrive and it's difficult to imagine them on. This is where the Aerie Bra Fitting Guide saves the day. Aerie has created a virtual guide for bra shopping. It sounds bizzare, but it is oh so helpful when picking out undergarments. You pick out your size and the bra style you want, they then show you images of that bra on someone who is your exact size. The best part about these images- the guide featured real, un-retouched women; finally bra shopping doesn't have to be depressing! It's the worst walking in to lingerie stores with huge posters plastered everywhere of models in bras. Aerie uses real, everyday women. Totally opposite! Another plus is the incredible selection of bras at an affordable price. I decided to pick out some lace bralettes and bandeaus that I thought would be perfect for summer time. There was so many beautiful colors, it was hard choosing just a few! It was so refreshing to actually enjoy bra shopping and do it from the comfort of my own home. Plus, waiting for packages to come is probably the most exciting thing ever!

I decided that everyone needs some of these lace bralettes in their lives.

And by everyone, I mean one lucky winner! I'm giving away a $50 AE giftcard, so you can try out these amazing bras (or anything you end up choosing!)

ItWorks Results

Tuesday, June 3, 2014

When Ali introduced me to the ItWorks products (which you can read about more here), I was especially excited for the facial. But I will be completely honest, I wasn't expecting any results, instead I was just looking forward to a relaxing 45 minutes. I took the before and after photos right out of the shower, without a stitch of makeup, freckles galore, and wet hair. Keep in mind, I have a newborn now-my dark bags under my eyes are par for the course. I did the facial in the evening, because I thought after rubbing in the excess lotion, sleeping with it on would be extra moisturizing. My skin was drier than usual with the recent change in weather, so I was looking forward to how hydrating the facial would be for my skin. It smells like a beautiful herb garden and tingled a bit when I first put it on. I left it on for the 45 minutes as the directions said, then rubbed in the excess lotion that was still on my face and went to bed. I woke up and noticed my face looked a bit brighter, but it wasn't until I compared the photos that I really saw the difference. I'll admit, I was blown away by the change! My under eye bags seemed a bit lighter and my skin brighter! My skin tone is way more even and feels so much softer. This was just after one use, so I'm anxious to see the results after a few more applications. I'm hooked!
As much as I hate sharing these photos-eek!

Here are my before and after shots:

I'm extending the giveaway since it took a while for me to get my results up. Seriously people- you need to try this luxurious facial. Your skin is so soft after! The giveaway is extended to Saturday, so you have more time to enter. More details here
